Email Whitelisting Instructions

As a member of BetterSax, we want to make sure that you receive BetterSax emails. It’s a good idea to whitelist all emails from “bettersax.com” and “Jay Metcalf” to ensure that you receive our communications. All new members should follow this practice to ensure delivery of emails regarding your account.

Alternatively, if you have been a BetterSax Member previously and are no longer receiving emails from BetterSax, or if you have previously unsubscribed but wish to receive emails again, there is a separate process for this. Please visit BetterSax Support and fill out the short form at the top of the page to change your email preferences.

What is Email Whitelisting?

Whitelisting is a quick but important step to improve your email security. By adding a sender’s email address to a trusted list, you’re telling your email provider to always deliver messages from that sender to your inbox, instead of sending them to the spam folder by mistake.

Outlook: Add to Safe Senders

  1. Open your Outlook inbox in your web browser.

  2. Select the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings.

  3. From the left menu, choose Mail, then click Junk email.

  4. Under Safe senders and domains, select + Add.

  5. Type in the email address or domain you’d like to whitelist.

Gmail: Add a Sender to Your Safe List

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.

  2. Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right corner and select See all settings.

  3. Go to the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.

  4. Click Create a new filter.

  5. Enter the email address you want to approve in the From field.

  6. Select Create filter.

  7. Check the option Never send it to Spam.

  8. Click Create filter again to apply.

Yahoo Mail: Mark Messages as Safe

  • Open your Yahoo Mail inbox.

  • If you already see a message from the sender in your Spam folder, open it.

  • Click Not Spam to move it to your inbox.

  • Future emails from this sender will now arrive in your inbox automatically.

iCloud Mail: Create a Rule for Trusted Senders

  1. Sign in to iCloud Mail.

  2. Click the gear icon in the lower-left corner.

  3. Select Rules… to open the rules panel.

  4. Choose Add a Rule.

  5. Set the condition to recognize the sender’s email address.

  6. For the action, choose Move to Inbox so their emails won’t go to Junk.

  7. Click Done to save your rule.
